Friday 13 December 2013

On the 13th day of December ......

Happy Friday the 13th,

Only 11 more days until Christmas Eve (eeek!) and I've still sooooo much to do.
The tree in the hall is finally decorated.  It's not quite as full as the main tree in the lounge ........

And,  there's no new baubles on this one - yet!!!  There's a few spaces I can see on there so the hunt will be on tomorrow for that perfect decoration.  Well, there has to be at least one new shiny bauble doesn't there, to add to the ever growing collection that comes out year after year.

This is something that we've had for a while, the tree skirt around the bottom is ten years old this year ...... all hand stitched (by me!) when I had the luxury of time on my hands.  Oh .... I remember it well!

6 cute snow people around the bottom, each one done in sequins and seed beads, all individually hand stitched on ....... cute!

This one is 12 years old ........ and it's my favourite

Again all hand stitched ....... Poinsettias and holly, all the way around, each one made up of sequins and beads

Yes, I really did have time to spare! Not so much these days .....

Oh well ...... I'm off now to do my weekly post over on the DT Blog for Creative Studios then it's back to the old craft room to finish off the prep for next week's workshop, put the final touches to a project for the end of next week, and get my Tag done for Tim's 12 Tags of 2013.  That's the plan anyway, let's see what happens shall we.

This weekend is looking like a busy one ........ if the weather's good we're taking the Santa Train tomorrow, to see the man in the red suit in his Grotto .......

The I have Christmas cards to write ready to post on Monday and a Christmas Party on Sunday ....... Ho! Ho! Ho!  There may just be some mulled wine and mince pies in there somewhere too.

Hope you have a lovely weekend and I'll see you again soon.

Cheerio for now

Linda

Your tree is gorgeous and I agree, we all need at least one new bauble each year. Have fun with Santa! Hugs, Anne x
