Are you ready for the weekend? ...... I know I am!!! What a busy week it's been ...... it started bright and early on Monday, with that morning flight back to the island ..... and I feel as though I haven't stopped since we got back. We had the walk to the Tower of Refuge on Tuesday, Lauren and the little one moved out into their own place this week so it's been backwards and forwards there moving stuff, shopping, tidying up etc., etc. and on top of all that I've had my DT stuff to do ...... April was supposed to be a quiet month!!!
Anyhow ...... I've got my entry done for this week's Less is More Challenge ...... I couldn't not really, seeing as how I was ShowCASed again last week...... so proud!
ROUND and ROUND
I had a few ideas for this one ...... bubbles (floating round and round), a bicycle (the wheels go round and round), a ferris wheel (again this goes round and round), or an actual round card maybe. In the end I kept things very CAS (true LIM style) and went with the IndigoBlu Circle Dot Background ....... lots of dots going round and round and round!
I masked off a section across a piece of white cardstock and then using Distress Inks (Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade and a touch of Worn Lipstick) I applied some colour. With the mask still in place, I stamped the Circles across the cardstock, using Black Versafine ink
The sentiment is from an SU set (Curly Cute) and has been stamped and clear embossed
I've then stamped some of the circles again onto another piece of inked cardstock, then punched them out and attached them to the front of my card using foam pads
I've finished off with a layer of black cardstock to make it all pop and added some black pearls to the centres of the raised circles.
Ooh .... and I've done the inside to match ....
Oh well, it's back to Grandma duties this evening ...... the little man is staying over tonight (Mum's working). It has been quiet without him ...... I think hubby's missed his playmate.
Hopefully I'll be back over the weekend ..... I've still got my Merry Monday card to do, and I can blog my IndigoBlu Retreat projects now ...... the repeat workshops are up and running for the next three days, so no need to worry about giving anything away.
Enjoy the rest of your Friday, and have a lovely weekend. Let's hope the sun shines shall we.
Cheerio until next time
