Day 6 in Vegas ......

Hi folks!

Just checking in ..... hope you're all having a good week.  It's lunchtime over here, and Hubby's just settled down to watch the football ....... Brazil v Germany, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to catch up with you all.

Things have calmed down a little after the 4th July weekend ...... boy was it busy!!  We've been taking things easy the last couple of days ..... enjoying the weather and venturing out on the strip.

I must say we were a bit extravagant on Sunday evening (nothing new there then!) We spoiled ourselves by booking dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant in the gorgeous Paris Hotel

The food was delicious .... the fillet mignon was amazing and we shared the best soufflé I've ever tasted (I am going to be the size of a small house when I get home ...... oh well, thank goodness the treadmill is still there!)

We had a romantic window seat overlooking the Bellagio Hotel, and those famous fountains ..... probably still the best free show in Vegas (I think anyway!)

We had to go and watch them again once we'd finished in the restaurant though ...... so much better when you can hear the music .....

We finished off the day in a Country Bar down in Treasure Island ..... talk about one extreme to another ...... good food and fine wines to beer and burgers!   Hubby wanted to try out Gilley's .......  me thinks the Bikini Bull Riding may have had something to do with that ...... something I wasn't prepared to join in with I might add!!!!

(Can't quiet believe the footy score by the way ......... 5-0 to the Germans and it's not even half time!)

Yesterday was another relaxing day ..... with the afternoon spent at The Mirage. After lunch in one of hubby's favourite eateries in Vegas ...... the California Pizza Kitchen, we went to see the famous White Tigers in Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat

How fabulous are these ...... I've got a thing for big cats and these are just stunning.

A little on the quiet side because of the heat, but still well worth seeing.

The dolphins were pretty cool too .....

We're off to a show tonight ...... we're going back to the 80's!  We're off to see Rock of Ages at the Venetian ..... should be fun!

Oh well, the second half of the football is about to start .... can Germany make it double figures?  Let's see!

Thanks for popping by ...... enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheerio from Vegas

It looks - and sounds like you are having a wonderful time. I feel sorry for Brazil after spending all that money on holding the World Cup and then losing 7-1!! Keep enjoying your break. Anne x
