No Red or Green .....

Morning all,

Happy Thursday!

There's a Colour Challenge going on over at Less is More.  This week, we have to use ....

NON-TRADITIONAL Colours for a CHRISTMAS CARD
so that means .......
NO red and NO green (oh no!)

I've said before I'm a bit of a traditional girl when it comes to Christmas cards, I do like my reds and greens ..... however saying that I have been mixing things up a little this year and I'm enjoying being out of my comfort zone!

How about a bit of plum and teal .......

I may have moved away from the usual colours but, my favourite Clarity Christmas trees are there again, creating my winter forest background ...... stamped in a teal coloured ink along the edge of a paper mask, and then given a dusting of fine crystal glitter

The beautiful deer is from the Tim Holtz Styled Woodlands set of stamps .... stamped in a plum Memento ink and then I've added the pretty co-ordinating bow around his neck

A layer of plum cardstock and a festive greeting on the outside, and of course a little something on the inside finishes everything off nicely

Red and green .....it's not!  Festive ........ well I think it fits the bill!
What colour's are your favourites for Christmas cards?

I'm like a bear with a sore head this morning ........ it's the big Hobbycrafts show at the NEC in Birmingham this weekend ..... and I'm not going (sigh!)  I'm sure some of you will be venturing out there though, so have a great time ..... spend lots .... and take home loads of new stash!

Me ..... I'm going to be doing a little on-line retail therapy this weekend.  Spending my poker winnings!  Yes, it was our regular home game last night - cards of a different kind, that finally went my way and for once I actually came out on top .... whoo hoo!! Even managed to bluff the other half a couple of times which didn't go down too well (oops!)

Thanks for popping by ...... enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheerio until next time,

Linda

What a fabulous combination of colours Linda.
I can't make the Hobbycraft show either so will have to get all the gossip from Chrissie & Anne.
Love the inside of your card just as much as the outside so someone is in for a treat this Christmas.
