Whoo Hoo!! ...... I'm a Happy Little Stamper!

Hi folks!

Are you ready for a challenge?
Here it is ....... my FIRST inspiration piece as a brand new member of the Design Team for the Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge ......

Can you tell how pleased I am to be part of such a fab team!

This month the theme is all about ....... rubber stamping.  We want you to create something fabulous using stamps ....... with a CAS design of course!

There's lots of ways to use rubber stamps .... check out the challenge post, you'll find a list of some great techniques on there, with links to video tutorials to give you some inspiration and get you started.

For my first piece I've kept things very clean and simple (CAS) ........

The pretty little floral stamp I've used is from the new 'T' for Transparent set ..... Enamor from Penny Black.
I've simply stamped the flower three times, using Versamark ink and then heat embossed with a fine detail, white powder.
You can see I've masked off part of the stamp (the little bud at the side) on the central flower .... this is an easy thing to do with any of your stamps to change them up a little.  I place masking tape over the part of the image I don't want to stamp,  ink up as normal and then remove the masking tape BEFORE stamping my image ...... I said it was easy!!

I then added some colour ....... using a Distress Marker for the stems (Mowed Lawn), and Distress inks for the actual flowers ....... a mix of Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold and a touch of Picked Raspberry, mixed with a little water.

The sentiments I've used, on the front of the card and on the inside, are also from Penny Black ...... from a set called Sprinkles & Smiles ..... lots of fun sentiments in really nice fonts.

I added a few dots of glue around the flowers and sentiment and sprinkled over a touch of fine crystal glitter.

I always like to decorate the inside of my cards, usually with a small part of the design on the front

You can see I've used the same pretty flower, embossed in the white again and coloured in the same way as before.

Now it's your turn ....... you've got the whole of July to enter, and ..... if you need more inspiration to get you started ..... pop over to the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of my teamies have created for you ..... Happy Stamping!

Thanks for popping by ....... enjoy the rest of your day.

Fingers crossed this has gone live at the correct time ...... you see the Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge goes live on the 3rd of each month ..... at 6am ...... and before you think I've totally lost the plot ....... they're in AUSTRALIA!!!  So ..... hopefully, if I've done my calculations right  (I have checked with my own personal time converter ..... that's hubby by the way!) ....... 9pm on the day before should be about right.  Hopefully!!
So you see even though it's still Thursday the 2nd here on the Isle of Man, for some of you it's already tomorrow, the 3rd of July, so ...... Happy Friday!  Confused or what!!!

Cheerio until next time ....

xx

So pretty, and your masking technique worked beautifully. At first I thought this was stenciling, but then read your post. Loved the shading and the wonderful trio of sunny flowers. Also thought the inside was equally impressive with the delicate flower repeat. Wonderful CAS ...TFS
