Thursday 10 December 2015

On the 10th day of December ......

All is calm,  all is bright ...... hmmmmm

Happy Thursday!

I don't know about calm!  Pre-Christmas panic about to set in I think!  Still lots to do .... the house to clean, a party to plan and cater for next week, workshop at the weekend, hubby's work's Christmas do on Saturday night, Sunday lunch out with the girls and I think a trip into town is needed to buy a new supply of glassware.  I've broken two this week ..... spectacularly!! Glass everywhere .... luckily one was empty ..... and the other only had water in it! One more to go ...... my mother always said everything comes in threes, so the best crystal can stay in the cupboard for now I think!!!

It's time for a quick blog challenge ........  Less is More is all about colour this week.  They would like us to use

Green & Blue

Hmmm .... not a combination I use a lot but, we'll give it a go.

OK .... not the greatest picture, but trust me ..... there is green on there .... it's even one layer too!!

Quick, last minute Christmas cards ....... we all need them!!
A bit of masking tape around the edges, then Distress inks to add the colour ..... Peeled Paint, Stormy Sky, and a touch of Chipped Sapphire .......

The gorgeous Wonderland stamp set from Stampin Up! for the trees and the sentiment

A touch of chunky white embossing powder for the snow, and a strip of double-sided tape covered with gold gilding flakes to finish it all off .... simple but effective.

This was one of the cards we made on a workshop I did yesterday ........ with matching gift tags too!
I'll be back later with the rest of the projects.

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.  Time for a quick coffee I think.

Cheerio until next time

Lovely winter scene and use of the challenge colours, Linda. Step away from the glasses, at least no wine was wasted, eh!
Thanks for sharing with us.

Fantastic design for your one layer beauty! Gorgeous trees with sponged sky ... and the chunky white embossing makes the perfect falling snow. The glitter strip really grounds everything and adds some lovely shine. Great design!! xx
