Polka Dots and Stripes ......

Morning folks,

Happy Sunday to you ....... I hope you're having a nice weekend.

Happy 'belated' World Card-making Day too!  I had a bit of a busy day yesterday ..... I didn't get chance to even open the craft room door.  Luckily I had been in there on Friday so I have made my Christmas card for this weeks  Merry Monday challenge

It's all about Polka Dots and Stripes this week ......

I used both ......

Very CAS ...... I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock (there's my polka dots)

and then used a triangle punch to make the stripey trees.
I added some small pieces of brown card for the tree-trunks then attached them above the sentiment using foam pads. Some fine crystal glitter adds a touch of sparkle, and I finished off with tiny gems on the tops.

I added a mat of red cardstock and some dots of my own ..... doodled around the edge, using a white gel pen

Really quick and easy to do, but very effective.

With only 80 days until Christmas, have you made a start on your cards yet?

I mentioned we had a busy day yesterday.   After the soaking I got on Friday, when the heavens decided to open just as I got into town (what fun that was!) ..... we had a beautiful day here on the island. The sun was back ...... whoo hoo!!
We've had the little man too this weekend (his mummy's across in the UK for a surprise birthday party) and he decided he wanted to go on a tram.  So, after being on the island for nearly 4 years we thought it was time we took our FIRST trip on the Manx Electric Railway.
We've been on the mountain railway before (Laxey - Snaefell), but not on the one from Douglas.

As it was such a nice day, we went all the way up to Ramsey.  When I say 'all the way' I mean about 13/14 miles, maybe a little bit further because we went along the coast.
The little man loved his trip .....  and the scenery on the way up there was beautiful, we could even see across to Cumbria.
I got to visit my favourite shop on the island ..... well I had a few things to get, and it would have been rude not to pop in and say hello now wouldn't it, seeing as how I was up there (my scarf collection got a little bit bigger - again!)
We had to call in the toy shop too, and we even had time for coffee and cake before the last tram home.

I'm afraid the sun's disappeared again this morning ..... but at least it's not raining (yet!)

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy your Sunday.

Cheerio until next time

Linda
