I hope you've had a good week.
We're back on the island, and it is nice to be home! Even if it is blowing a hoolie and it's very wet!!
It's been a bit of a busy week here. The van has been emptied and cleaned, the mountain of laundry has been conquered, and the kitchen cupboards have been restocked.
I even found time to spend in my craft room.
There's still about a week left in this month's CAS Christmas Card Challenge and, as the theme for October is Poinsettia, I didn't want to miss it ........ I do love a nice poinsettia!
I love how this has turned out, and it was really easy to do. I really like the pink too, different from the tradional red. In fact, the design is so pretty that I think you could use any colour with it.
I used the Poinsettia Embossing Folder from Lisa Horton Crafts ..... not sure if it's still available as I've had it a while now.
I swiped Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink, direct from the ink pad, onto one side of the embossing folder. I then added my piece of white cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot.
Just look at that detail .......... love it!!
As it's a 3D folder, the ink is picked up in various places to highlight the pretty Poinsettia design.
I simply added a touch of sparkle to the flower using a glue pen and fine crystal glitter, and a touch of gold in the centre
Well, that's another Christmas card done!
Thanks for popping by ....... have a lovely weekend.
The weather forecast here is not great so I think we'll be staying put this weekend.
Cheerio until next time .......

WOW! Gorgeous card Linda. LOVE that beautiful poinsettia design ... what a wonderful folder! So pretty with the pink ink added to highlight the design. The glitter and gold add special touches. Wonderfully finished with the gold thread, layered framing and gold sentiment. xx
Wow is right, Linda!! What gorgeous inking on your embossing - and it's so pretty in pink! And I agree - I bet you could use several other colors and it would look just as lovely! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Christmas! Julia xx
I have to say WOW also. This is gorgeous. The soft pink is lovely on the poinsettias and I love the way you framed it and showcased it. Love that embossing folder and have been searching for it - no luck.
Your pink on that embossed poinsettia is just gorgeous. 3D embossing folders really elevate cards to the next level. Thanks for joining us at CAS Christmas.
Such gorgeous CAS design, Linda! I love the dimension on the pretty poinsettias and the inking and glitter are so pretty. Hope you are settling back at home after your travels.
Hugs,
Carol x
