We're doing it all again ..... second release Blog Hop for Happy Little Stampers

Hi there folks!

Welcome to the second Happy Little Stampers Blog Hop.  We all had so much fun last time that we couldn't wait to do it all again.

Kylie's been working her socks off coming up with new stamp designs for you, and the Design Team have been busy playing (oops!) I mean working with the new stamps, creating fabulous inspiration pieces to show just how versatile these stamps are.

There's 6 .... yes 6! brand new sets of stamps ..... cute little images, beautiful scripts and lots of fabulous words and sentiments, covering every occasion .... craft stash must haves!

There's prizes up for grabs too (yeah!!)  To be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is leave a comment on EACH of the designers posts and you could get your hands on a $50 gift certificate to spend in the HLS store ..... wouldn't that be nice!
There's plenty of time to join in the fun, the Hop is open until October 31st.  Just remember you need to visit EVERYONE in the Blog Hop and leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning ....... have fun and Happy Hopping folks!

I'm guessing you hopped here from the lovely Melissa's Blog.  Don't worry if you didn't, you can't get lost.  You'll find a complete list of the all the Blogs to visit at the end of this post including a link back to the start.

OK .... so here's what I've been up to.
Let's start with the Fun Birthday Sentiments.  Lots of Birthday greetings in a mix of fabulous fonts.
Why not use them all .... or some of them anyway .......

I've used a mix of them here, stamped with different coloured inks to create a fun topper for a really quick and easy Birthday card

Add a few sequins and a bit of sparkly thread and you're done

I added one of the stamps from Bold Birthday Sentiments (from the first stamp release) to finish off the front

and used the same set to decorate the inside ........

You don't have to use them all at once though ...... usually just one is enough.  I love this pretty font ..... perfect to add the finishing touch

This was so easy .... the background was created using an acrylic block to stamp with ..... just apply coloured inks directly to the block, spritz with water and then stamp .... love the sort of watercolour effect that you get

Add a pretty die cut ....... I splashed a few dots of white acrylic paint onto the background too

and one of those fab sentiments ...... and you're done!

Next up ..... Thinking of You (my favourite!)  I love this set, the fonts are beautiful, the little butterflies are so sweet, the fancy script is perfect for creating backgrounds and there's also a couple of decorative images on there too.

Keep things clean and simple ...... a nice inky panel across the card and I used the pretty script to add a bit more interest

I made a simple tag using the same colours as the background ...... how beautiful is that font!

And finished off with the butterflies .....

A few ink splashes here and there .......

And I couldn't leave the inside blank now could I .....

A more elegant design now ..... a simple script panel, inked with a touch of Distress (Antique Linen) and edged with a gold pen

One of the beautiful sentiments .......

and a little decorative touch top and bottom of the script (these would look great embossed too, in a nice rich gold perhaps)

For a splash of colour I added the butterflies ..... stamped directly onto the card and then stamped again onto a piece of coloured card, cut out and overlaid ........ so pretty and delicate

Great on the inside too ......

Finally ....... I'm going a little festive ....... well the stamps do cover all occasions.

A nice CAS design using the Everyday Sentiments ........ love the large words in this set!

I simply stamped a few pretty snowflakes and added a touch of sparkle

Stamped a festive greeting using the Everyday Sentiments ....... you can put together loads of different sentiments depending on the occasion ......

They're great for both the front of your cards ...... and on the inside too

Phew!!!  That was a long one ..... are you still with me? I do hope you enjoyed your visit and that you're feeling inspired!
All of the Happy Little Stampers stamps are available now on the website and the good news is, they ship worldwide!

Thanks for 'hopping' by.  You're next stop should be the lovely Birgit ...... hop on over and see more designs using the brand new HLS stamps.  Happy Hopping!

Cheerio until next time

It's weekend again!!

Happy Friday folks!

Yes, I'm still here .... just in case you were wondering .... it's been a while.  How is everyone? Had a good week?
Mine has absolutely flown by.  As usual I've been here, there and everywhere.
I've made a start on the Christmas shopping .......whoo hoo!!!  Bought my first present .....now I just have to remember where I've put it when it's time to wrap everything!
Had a lovely day yesterday ...... finally bought some bedroom furniture for the little man's room ..... that's going to be a big job at the weekend!   Had a lovely lunch out with a friend,  topped off with ice cream by the sea .....the weather was gorgeous! And ..... we paid a visit to Laxey Woollen Mills ..... always worth a trip!  Look what I got ......

Cosy or what! Perfect for those dark, winter nights in front of the TV
And, wait for this ........ I actually bought some cards!!!!

I just couldn't resist them ....... I'm going to get some frames I think and hang them on the wall.

It's not all been days out and nice lunches ..... I have been busy in the old craft room too.  Barbara's back on the telly this weekend ...... whoo hoo!! No prizes for guessing what I've been doing .... hopefully you'll see some of the results at the weekend.
Claim the sofa and the remote control, set your Sky boxes to record and enjoy the shows

When ......... Sunday 25th Oct
What time ........  2pm til 4 ...... and again at 6pm
Where ......... HOCHANDA  Sky Channel 663  Freeview 39  and Freesat 817

There's new Christmas goodies ....... just in case you haven't started on all those festive makes!

I also found time to play along with this week's Less is More Challenge.  It's a Theme week and it's a tough one .......
MASCULINE (oh no!!)

Eventually this is what I came up with ......

Not really amazing ..... CAS though, lots of white space!!!

I always struggle with masculine style .... much nicer to make pretty, feminine cards but I got there in the end.

I stamped the words first and then used the Brickwall embossing folder from Stampin Up to add texture to the background

Ink splats add a bit more interest, and I finished it off by adding some silver thread and a simple metal button

Believe it or not, this wasn't the first attempt.  My card moved in the embossing folder on the first run through and I ended up with the brickwall not straight.  But, you know me, I never throw anything away and I actually quite liked it so ........ I made it into a girly version .... pink obviously!

This time I used my Distress Stains to do the ink splats ....... straight down onto the card with the foam topped bottle ...... SPLAT!!!

Love it! ..... remember to cover your workspace and yourself first though because the ink does go EVERYWHERE!!!

Great design for teenagers I think!

Thanks for popping by .... enjoy the rest of your day and have a lovely weekend.
We're starting early with a few drinks and dinner out this evening ....... no idea where as we haven't booked anything. Not such a great plan, especially if there's a few of you .... you wouldn't believe how busy everywhere is!

Cheerio until next time .........

Autumn challenge at Less is More

Happy Thursday to you .....

Thanks for stopping by. What a beautiful day we've got here ..... clear blue skies, the sun is shining, but boy is it chilly!! I think we're going to have to give in and put the heating on tonight.  Can't really complain though .... it is the middle of October after all!

There's an Autumn theme over at Less is More this week .... and it's One Layer Week, always a favourite.

I do love one layer cards .... not always the easiest to make I must say but, once you get the hang of them they can become addictive!

CAS as always for this challenge ...... I started out by inking the circle using various shades of Distress Inks through a mask ...... Wild Honey, Festive Berries and Forest Moss with just a touch of Aged Mahogany, splattered it with water (as I love to do with distress ink) and mopped up the excess leaving that lovely speckled background

I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment next (from Inkylicious) using Vintage Sepia Versafine ink ...... love these words

Using the same Distress colours as before I then stamped my beautiful autumn leaves ...... see how the Distress ink has pooled on the stamp (clear polymer stamp) giving this speckled look to the leaves ..... now I could have taken a paint brush and water and smoothed the ink out a little but I really like the sort of skeleton leaf effect .... what do you think?

I finished off with a few ink splats here and there (can't resist!) using the Aged Mahogany Distress

And added a little something to the inside too .....

Well that's lunchtime over for me ..... time to get in the old craft room I think.   My postie's been so it's busy, busy, busy for me this afternoon.

Enjoy the rest of your day and cheerio until next time.
