More challenge fun .....

Hello again .....

Yes ...... I'm back with another challenge for you. It's all go isn't it .... always is at the beginning of the month.

It's time to get September's Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge underway.  This month the theme is Watercolour Spritz .......

I love spritzing and spraying ... whether it's with water or inks and paint.
For this month's project I've gone with the water option ...... spritzed over Distress Inks to give that water coloured look ......

I've used the beautiful Penny Black Gentle Whisper stamp ....... inked with Distress inks and then lightly spritzed the stamp with water before stamping the image onto my card

I actually used my MISTI to do the stamping .... made things so much easier.
I inked up the flowers first using the Picked Raspberry Distress ink ..... spritzed and stamped

Randomly inked it up again using the same colour, another gentle spritz and stamped again, this created the look of  a little more shading.

Next I inked the leaves using Mowed Lawn and did the same process again.  I do love my MISTI .... no mistakes, no matter how many times you stamp.

I added the words using the HLS Everyday Sentiments .... using the MISTI again, and finished off with a few splatters of Distress ink here and there ........

and a little something on the inside too

This is such a pretty stamp and works really well when you spritz with water before stamping ..... gives a real watercolour effect I think.

Check out the HLS Blog for more ideas on Watercolour Spritzing .... the DT have been busy, and there's also links to some fab video tutorials.

As  always the challenge is sponsored by the Happy Little Stampers store .....

and the winner will receive a $15 discount to spend in the shop.

Happy stamping!

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day/evening.
I'm off to catch up on some TV ..... and I think there's a glass in the kitchen with my name on it ...... a nice gin and tonic with ice and a slice ..... the weekend starts now.  Cheers!!

Cheerio until next time

I always love the look of this technique. Your soft watercolours look amazing and then the pop of black from the sentiment is fantastic! Love this xx

Hi Linda,
your card is very delicate and airy. I love the watercolor effect, as gently fills the image. As always, the inside of the card beautifully decorated :-)
