Craft Stamper Challenge ..... did someone mention cake?

Hello again ......

Busy day today ....... and it's only 9am!!

It's time to remind you about this month's Craft Stamper Blog Challenge  have you entered yet?

The theme is Anything Goes so it really can be anything you like ...... a card, a journal page, an ATC maybe.  Just remember you MUST include some actual rubber stamping on your project.

The challenge has already been running for a week, but there's still plenty of time left to play along and be in with a chance of winning one of the fab prizes up for grabs ...... more about that later.

Just in case you need a little bit of inspiration, here's a fun idea for a birthday card ...... I need so many in January!

Cupcakes are always welcome ...... especially chocolate ones!

I stamp the cupcake image onto a piece of white cardstock, heat embossed with a clear powder, and then fussy cut it.

I used ZIG markers to colour in the actual cupcake and the strawberry on the top, and the cream on the cake I painted with a white pearlescent paint and just a touch of pink marker blended in.
A few dots of glitter glue here and there add a touch of sparkle.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of card and used a die to cut it out and then attached it to the back of my cupcake

I cut a piece of black cardstock to fit the front of a 7x5 inch card blank, and splattered it using gold and silver inks

To add a bit more fun to the card I used a Wobbler to attach the cupcake so that it moves .......

Check out more inspiration and ideas from the rest of the Design Team on the Craft Stamper Blog today and then join in the fun.  You could win one of the fabulous prizes on offer.

We have TWO winners each month ...... a Design Winner chosen by the DT, from all of the eligible challenge entries.  The prize for that is a double page spread in Craft Stamper magazine featuring the winning project, a Winner's Profile post on the CS Blog and, the chance to be a Guest Designer on a future challenge ..... not bad eh!

Winner number two is randomly chosen, again from all the eligible entries and they receive the Blog Challenge prize.  Look at what's up for grabs for the January challenge ........ I wouldn't mind winning that little bundle!

So ..... get stamping!!

Thanks for popping by ..... have a great day, and a fabulous weekend.

Cheerio until next time ......

Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge ......

Good morning .......

It's Friday!  It's the 1st of November!! ....... and this is the first of three blog posts from me today ..... yes THREE!!!  What was I saying about things calming down a little ........ not yet they're not!

First up, it's the Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge.

You know the theme .... Anything Goes, just remember to include some actual rubber stamping on your project.  Also,  please don't forget ...... keep to just one project only on your blog post, and include a link to the Craft Stamper Challenge post.

It might be November, and less than eight weeks until the big day but, I still can't get my head around making Christmas cards.  I wonder if I can get away with bought ones this year!

I have however, been waiting ages to show this little guy .......

He's from a clear stamp set called Warrior by Tracey Hey ..... and he's soooo cute!!

Just look at that face!!!!!! .........

I stamped, coloured him using ZIG markers, and fussy cut him twice ...... once in full, and then the second time I just cut around his head and glorious mane.

I brushed Distress Inks onto the centre of a piece of white card stock and then splattered with water, allowing the water to sit for a few seconds before mopping up the excess with a paper towel.

I used a wobbler spring to layer the lion ..... 1. to add dimension and 2. to give some movement to the stamped image

I then added this to the front of my card and stamped the words simply in black ink ......

To finish off I added a few dots of glitter glue here and there, and a few ink splatters.

As always there's prizes up for grabs .........
The challenge winner (randomly chosen) will receive this gorgeous PaperArtsy stamp set ....

Or ...... you could be our next Design Winner, chosen by the DT, and they will get their winning project published in the Craft Stamper magazine, a winner's profile and the chance to be a Guest Designer on a futuure Blog challenge.

Happy stamping!

Thanks for popping by ..... have a great day.
I'll be back later with another blog challenge and a fabulous fun Blog Hop!

Cherrio until then ......

Looking forward to the weekend ......

Happy Friday .......

I hope you've had a great week.
The sun is shining, we have the weekend to look forward to, and Easter is just around the corner.  And .......... the countdown is on, for the premier of the final season of Game of Thrones!!!!!
Not a fan? ...... I know there are a few out there that have never watched a single episode (why!!!)  We, on the other hand have watched it many times and cannot wait for the final series.  We've spent the last few evenings watching the last series (again!)   The whole family are GoT fans here.
The Sky box is set to record ..... twice! ..... and series linked.  That's  2am on the Sunday night/Monday morning when it actually premiers in the US, and then again at 9pm on Monday evening, just in case anything goes wrong with the first one!  In fact, the kids are thinking of staying up to watch it as it airs ....... hmmm, can I stay awake I wonder. We'll see.

Today though, I have a little reminder for this month's Craft Stamper Blog Challenge.
As always the theme is Anything Goes, just remember to include some actual rubber stamping on your project.
You can find all the challenge details on the Craft Stamper Blog along with some great inspiration from the rest of the Design Team, and the guidelines you need to follow, to be in with a chance of winning either of the monthly prizes.

How about a nice, easy, fun CAS card .......

I love this image from Stamping Bella ...... and I do enjoy a nice glass of wine!

She's been coloured using ZIG markers and a water brush, and I added a few ink splatteres onto the background

This fab sentiment is from My Favourite Things ......

The only trouble with our wines is they're never in the wine rack long enough to be classed as old!!!

You have until midnight on April 24th to get your entries in so come on .... get those stamps out!

Thanks for popping by .... enjoy the rest of your day and have a great weekend.
I'm off to finish prepping a workshop for tomorrow.  It's the first one this year ...... I've missed our little get togethers.
Inspired by the fabulous Eileen Godwin, we're going to be starting on calendars for next year.
Here's sneaky peeks at some of the pages .......

It's going to be a work in progress ........ using inks and blending techniques which can all be used on cards too, along with some rubber stamping and stenciling.  It should be fun.
Time for a quick coffee first though!

Cheerio until next time .....

Products used:
Stamps: uptown girl Wilma Loves Wine (Stamping Bella); Uncorked (MFT)
Ink: Versafine Clair - Nocturne

Love You to the Moon and Back ......

Good morning .......

The weekend is just around the corner ........ have you got that Friday feeling yet?

It's time for a quick reminder of this month's Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge
All you have to do is TAKE a stamp and MAKE something fabulous!
The theme is Anything Goes, so that means you can create whatever you like ..... a card, a journal page or a tag.   ATC's or coins, jewellry or a piece of home decor .... it's up to you.
All you have to remember is, there must be some actual rubber stamping on your project  ..... easy!

I've got a cute little card for you today, that could actually go in a frame and hang on a bedroom wall perhaps,

I don't really do super cute these days but, I just couldn't resist this little guy from a recent Penny Black release ......

He's been stamped onto a piece of white cardstock, coloured using ZIG markers and then fussy cut.  I also gave the moon a little shimmer with a clear Wink of Stella Pen

Something else that recently arrived in the craft room and I've been waiting to play with, are the brand new Distress Oxide Sprays.  Have you tried them yet?  They are so much fun .... and they look great on black cardstock.  Which is what I've used for my galaxy background

I spritzed the Oxides onto the black card, giving each colour a quick blast with a heat tool.  I used a blue, purple, pink and a little bit of grey (I've listed the exact colours below)

I added a few splatters of gold and white over the top, and used some glittery die cut stars in the background.
I framed my galaxy sky, and attached the little bear using foam pads for extra dimension

I do love this sentiment .......

As always there's two prizes up for grabs ..... the Design Winner chosen by the Design Team.  They will be featured in the Craft Stamper magazine along with their winning entry, be invited to be a Guest Designer on a future TIMI  challenge, and have a Winners profile on Craft Stamper Blog.
The second Winner is chosen at random from all the eligible challenge entries and they receive the Blog Challenge prize, which this month is ...... a fabulous Tim Holtz stamp set

Check out the Craft Stamper Blog for all the challenge  guidelines and Happy stamping!

Thanks for popping by, enjoy the rest of your day.
We're off out again this evening ..... yes the birthday celebrations are still going on!  This is the last though .... I think. There's nothing planned for the weekend .... yet!

What do you think of the new look? Nice isn't it!
I felt it was time for a change ....... something more clean and fresh.  I LOVE it!!
A huge Thank You goes to the lovely Loll Thompson from Stamping with Loll who did all the hard work on the header design and the graphics, and also did the change over ..... you're a Star!

Have a lovely weekend.

Follow Your Art for the Craft Stamper Blog challenge .......

Happy Friday folks .........

This is the first of two posts today.
Are you looking forward to the weekend?  I know I am ...... we've got a clear diary this weekend, that doesn't happen very often!  We've nowhere to go, nothing needs to be done, we can just relax and do whatever we like ..... perfect! Just as well really as hubby is still suffering a little.
We have got the little man on Saturday night.  Pizza and a movie I think .... sounds good to me.

Before all that though, it's time to remind you of this month's Craft Stamper Take It Make It challenge. There's still plenty of time to play along.
As always the theme is Anything Goes ...... just remember to include some actual rubber stamping on your project, and you're good to go!

Here's a little inspiration for you.
This stamp from IndigoBlu has been sat on my NBUS mountain (Never Before Used Stuff) for ages.  I love it, and I'm so glad I finally inked it up and used it.

It's called Art Gives You Wings and it's full of amazing detail ..... I love this collage look

I simply stamped it onto a piece of what I call my mop up card, out of my bit box.  This one is a piece of watercolour card that I've used to 'mop up' bits of Distress Oxides left on my craft mat from previous projects ..... it's a shame to waste all that gorgeous ink!
I've always got bits of cardstock on my desk so I use these instead of paper towels or wipes to clean my craft mat.  I just keep going with the same piece of card until I'm happy with the results. You get some great background pieces, without even trying!

I stamped the image using Black Versafine Clair and then heat embossed with a clear powder .... job done!
I did use gel pens to highlight the paint brushes, and I brushed over those amazing wings with a clear Wink of Stella pen to add a touch of shimmer ...... not sure you can see it that well in the photo but trust me, it's there

The sentiment is from Stampendous .... stamped and heat embossed in gold, then die cut and attached using foam pads

I finished off by adding some ink splatters onto the background piece, before matting and layering to frame the artwork.

As always with the Craft Stamper challenges, there's TWO prizes up for grabs.
First we have a Design Winner ........ chosen by the Design Team from all the eligible entries.  We all vote on our Top 3 and the entry with the most votes wins!
The prize for this is a double page spread in the Craft Stamper magazine, a Guest Designer spot and a winner's profile.  What better way of getting your artwork noticed.

We also have a Challenge Winner, this time chosen at random from all the eligible entries.  They receive the Blog Challenge Prize, which this month is one of the brand new Sizzix Dies from Tim Holtz .....

Check out all the Challenge rules and guidelines on the Craft Stamper Blog.  You'll find more fabulous inspiration over there too .......... Happy Stamping!

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend.
I'll be back again very soon with the second post of the day.

Cheerio until then ......
