You have until midnight (GMT) on Saturday 29th February to comment and the winner will be announced, along with all the other 8th Birthday Celebration Winners, on the Uniko Blog on Sunday 8th March.

I've really enjoyed playing working with this new release.  There's so many fun designs it's hard to have a favourite.

Alphabet Outlined is such a great set to have in your collection.  Large individual letters, and numbers, make it easy to create cards for those special birthdays, or make your own sentiments.

They're easy to fussy cut too ......

Anniversaire Arts Decoratifs ....... a collection of fun sentiments in an Art Deco style font that work perfectly alongside the new Background Block - Arts Decoratifs

I simply stamped and heat embossed the Background Block to cover a square of black cardstock ....

Makes such a cool background design, all it needed was one of those sentiments in the middle.

Another new addition with an Art Deco feel, is the brand new Background Builders - Arts Decoratifs.  A collection of Art Deco inspired, pattern building border stamps.
One of the designs immediately made me thing of mermaid scales ........

Thank goodness for the MISTI ...... it made things so easy lining up the stamp over my Distress Ink blended background.  And look, those sentiments are the perfect partner.

Another new Background Block is the new Pinstripe II.  A great little design for creating interesting backgrounds, your own designer papers or adding decorative touches to your designs.
Remember my card from yesterday with the pinstripe tone on tone design (if not, you can find it here) ..... well, this is how I used up the leftovers .....

I don't like throwing leftover bits into the bin so, I used punches to cut out various sized circles from the strips of stamped card.

Added in a few plain punched circles, and the odd glittery one here and there, to create this funky birthday card ..... oooh! and there's one of those fun sentiments again.

I probably shouldn't have favourites but, I think the new Happy Days stamp set is one ......

I do like silhouette stamps, and you can never have too many foliage designs so, this one is perfect for me.
Stamped in pretty rainbow colours, it's definitely a happy card

Another beautiful set is the Spring Botanicals - Tulips

Stamped onto watercolour card, heat embossed in white and coloured with ZIG Markers .... easy!

Last but not least, there's a brand new set of Designer Dies ....... Kindness Blooms
This fab little set co-ordinates perfectly with the previously released stamp set with the same name.  If you already have the stamp set, just think of all the new possibilities!

If you're on the Blog Hop then your next stop will be Rahmat (you'll find the link below)

Linda (that's me)

Happy hopping!

I do hope you love the new release.
It will all be available to buy on the Uniko Website at 9pm (GMT) this evening (Sunday)
And don't forget ...... the special 8th Birthday Discount Code is still valid.  Just add the code CELEBRATE8 before you check out!

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheerio until next time .......

Introducing ....... Kindness Blooms Designer Dies

Happy Thursday .......

This week is flying by ........ thank goodness.  I don't like it when hubby is away!

I've had plenty to keep me busy though.  Today is Day 3 of Introductions for the brand new Uniko release, coming up at the weekend.

We're introducing a set of new Designer Dies for you today.  These co-ordinate perfectly with the previously released, cute floral stamp set called ....... Kindness Blooms.  I do love it when stamps have matching dies!

There's so much in this die set ........ the full flower shape, in two sizes, matching loopy flowers, there's a couple of dies that can be used as the centres, a cute little leaf shape which could also be a petal, allowing you to create your own flowers, and some words.

Use the stamps and die cut your images, with either of the flower dies.  Or, you may not have the stamp set ....... no problem, use the dies on their own and layer them as I've done here ....... there's so many options!

I cut the full flower shapes from coloured cardstock (a great way of using up all the leftover bits), the loopy ones from white and then layered the two together.

The leaves were stamped onto white cardstock, coloured with ZIG Markers and then die cut. And I also added some little kraft card centres to the flowers

To put the card together, I smooshed some Distress Inks onto a piece of white cardstock and then arranged the flowers and leaves on top

I added a sentiment using the words from the matching stamp set, and finished with a few gold ink splatters before attaching the panel to a Kraft cardblank.

Don't forget to check out the Uniko Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team have been creating with this gorgeous new collection.  And, if you've been leaving comments on these introduction posts then you never know, you could be one of the randomly chosen prize winners!

Oooh! almost forgot (there's so much going on) ....... there's still time to get 10% off your orders on the Uniko website.  Just use code CELEBRATE8 when you check out.

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.
There's still more of the new release to show you ...... see you again tomorrow with another gorgeous stamp set!

Cheerio until next time ......

Introducing ....... Anniversaire Arts Decoratifs and Background Builders Arts Decoratifs

Happy Wednesday .......

Welcome to Day 2 of Introductions for the brand new Uniko release ..... available to buy from the Uniko website on Sunday 23rd February, from 9pm (GMT)

Today we're introducing two more stamp sets, both with an Art Deco theme.
There's a new addition to the Background Builders range ...... Arts Decoratifs.  A fab collection of designs to create stunning borders or, all over background designs.

I've used just one of the stamps from the set to create a pretty all over design.

Stamped in black and gold inks, it makes the perfect backdrop for my sentiment which is from the second new stamp set ...... Anniversaire Arts Decoratifs

This little set is full of fun sentiments, in a fabulous Art Deco style font .......

They make great focal points ..... for this card I simply heat embossed two of the sentiments in gold, onto a strip of black cardstock .......

And then using two stamps from the new Background Builders set, I added a bit more detail above and below the sentiment strip

What do you think of the new release so far?  Do you have a shopping list already?
There's still plenty more to come.

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.
I've got the whole day to myself today ..... hmmm what should I do!?

Introducing ........ Alphabet Outlined and Background Blocks Arts Decoratifs

Happy Tuesday .......

Welcome to the first of the Introduction Posts for the brand new 8th Birthday/February release from Uniko.  Seven brand new stamp sets and a new set of Designer Dies all available on the Uniko website from Sunday 23rd February at 9pm (GMT)

Today we're introducing ........ Alphabet Outlined and the new Background Block Arts Decoratifs

This new alphabet is fab!!  Its such a great size, it's going to be so versatile.
I've created a sort of wordsearch, and coloured in the letters spelling Happy Birthday for a fun rainbow look .......

I added some Glossy Accents to the coloured letters, and a few sparkly gems

Just think of all the colour combinations you could use for this design.  You could even add more hidden words.

Can't find the right words to put on your cards ....... this is the perfect set for creating your own

A simple smooshed background ........

The letters stamped and heat embossed on top, and then coloured with markers

The set also includes numbers and punctuation, making it even more versatile!

The second introduction for today is the new Background Block ..... Arts Decoratifs.  This is the first of a range of stamps with an Art Deco theme

Looks classic simply gold embossed onto black card ...... I've stamped the design twice onto a panel of black cardstock and added a simple sentiment across the centre

A few shiny gems add a touch of glamour and sparkle.

There's more introductions coming up tomorrow, but in the meantime check out what the rest of the Design Team have been creating with this new release.

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.
I'm busy in the craft room again but, I won't be on my own. I've got the little man keeping me company today.  Hot chocolate and bluberry muffins it is!

Cheerio until next time .......

Uniko's January Release in Review Blog Hop .......

Good morning ......... Happy Thursday

Can you believe we're almost at the end of January already ...... that went fast!!
It has been a busy month though, what with birthday celebrations and Blog Hops, Blog challenges and new releases, and a few evenings out here and there ..... Burns Night was fun last weekend.
Oh! and we've booked another holiday, more about that some other time ..... I'm so excited!!

Fancy some Blog Hop fun?
Bev and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors are having a Release in Review Blog Hop.
We're taking another look at the gorgeous new stamps released earlier this month .....

Did you have a favourite?   I think mine was Hello Lovely ..... that beautiful peony spray.

Here I've used it with Kraft card to create a pretty card and matching gift tag.

I heat embossed the image in white, slightly off the edges of my piece of card (I do love white on Kraft)

I then used Copic markers to add colour to the image, taking care not to get too much ink onto the white embossing.  I did find that if I did, a quick wipe over with a piece of paper towel and a bit of hand sanitiser removed it.

I added a little bit of shading around the edges with Distress Oxide ink, and a few splatters of white paint onto the background to add a bit more interest.

The sentiment is from the new You Are ..... Outlined Sentiments set, finished off with a tiny heart from BIG & BOLD Love

If you're sending a gift with your card it's nice to add matching tag, I think it makes it makes it a little bit more special don't you.
And it's a great way of using up all those leftover pieces of card!

My second card was so quick and easy to do.  As February is almost here, with Valentines Day just around the corner, the re-release of the Always & Forever set is perfect.

I don't seem to do Valentine cards these days but, I couldn't resist using this set ........

As I said, quick and easy but, it says it all!

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.

As this is a Blog Hop there's a fabulous prize up for grabs.  One lucky hopper will receive the stamp sets Hello Lovely and You Are Outlined Sentiments.  All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is complete the Blog Hop, and comment along the way.
You have until midnight on 6th February so there's no rush, and the Winner will be announced on 7th Feb.
Happy hopping!
