Uniko's January Release in Review Blog Hop .......

Good morning ......... Happy Thursday

Can you believe we're almost at the end of January already ...... that went fast!!
It has been a busy month though, what with birthday celebrations and Blog Hops, Blog challenges and new releases, and a few evenings out here and there ..... Burns Night was fun last weekend.
Oh! and we've booked another holiday, more about that some other time ..... I'm so excited!!

Fancy some Blog Hop fun?
Bev and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors are having a Release in Review Blog Hop.
We're taking another look at the gorgeous new stamps released earlier this month .....

Did you have a favourite?   I think mine was Hello Lovely ..... that beautiful peony spray.

Here I've used it with Kraft card to create a pretty card and matching gift tag.

I heat embossed the image in white, slightly off the edges of my piece of card (I do love white on Kraft)

I then used Copic markers to add colour to the image, taking care not to get too much ink onto the white embossing.  I did find that if I did, a quick wipe over with a piece of paper towel and a bit of hand sanitiser removed it.

I added a little bit of shading around the edges with Distress Oxide ink, and a few splatters of white paint onto the background to add a bit more interest.

The sentiment is from the new You Are ..... Outlined Sentiments set, finished off with a tiny heart from BIG & BOLD Love

If you're sending a gift with your card it's nice to add matching tag, I think it makes it makes it a little bit more special don't you.
And it's a great way of using up all those leftover pieces of card!

My second card was so quick and easy to do.  As February is almost here, with Valentines Day just around the corner, the re-release of the Always & Forever set is perfect.

I don't seem to do Valentine cards these days but, I couldn't resist using this set ........

As I said, quick and easy but, it says it all!

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.

As this is a Blog Hop there's a fabulous prize up for grabs.  One lucky hopper will receive the stamp sets Hello Lovely and You Are Outlined Sentiments.  All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is complete the Blog Hop, and comment along the way.
You have until midnight on 6th February so there's no rush, and the Winner will be announced on 7th Feb.
Happy hopping!

Ho! Ho! Ho! ......

Happy Thursday .......

Not long now before the big day .... are you on the Nice list or the Naughty one?  What will Santa be bringing you this year?

Before all that though, I've got my final Blog Challenge post for 2016 ..... I think!
It's a quick reminder about this month's STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge ..... and maybe an idea for those last minute Christmas cards you still might have to make.

As always the theme is Anything Goes ..... anything CAS that is, and the optional colour twist for December is ......
RED and GREEN (very festive!)

You don't get more CAS than this design .......

One cute festive image from the STAMPlorations Warm Hands, Warm Hearts set, stamped in black ink and embossed with a clear powder .....

Coloured using Copic Markers .....

and a few dots of glitter glue here and there for added sparkle ....... easy!  Great for doing batch cards, especially if you have a MISTI ..... and perfect for posting!
Speaking of which .... I need to get the last lot of my cards in the post tomorrow.  Better get them written though first ...... guess what I'll be doing later!

It's just me at home this evening, Hubby's on another works Christmas bash ..... their team/office one this time.
They've had a meal out at lunchtime ..... and the afternoon off!!  It's Thursday too .... so that means they're all probably going to end up in The Saddle for a spot of festive Saddleoke ..... who knows what time he'll be home!

Don't forget the ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop is well underway ...... 7 days of stencil fun with the STAMPlorations girls.  Check out the STAMPlorations blog for full details and a list of the prizes up for grabs.

Thanks for popping by .... enjoy the rest of your day.
And in case you don't visit again before the big day ..... have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Cheerio until next time

Happy Birthday to You .... Happy Birthday to You ......

Happy Birthday dear STAMPlorations
Happy Birthday to You!!!

Happy Wednesday folks ......

It's been a while since I blogged ....... but the holiday is over and things are getting back to normal again.

It's a very special day today ...... STAMPlorations is 3 years old ... whoo hoo!!!  and it's party time.
Over the next few days Shery is holding a Birthday Blog Hop to celebrate along with a Linky Party so you can all join in the fun.

There's a special stamp release to mark the occasion ..... Kathryn's Big Wishes by Dee's Artsy Impressions and lots of other new goodies too .... see those matching dies!!!
There's also prizes up for grabs .... comment on the blog posts and link up to the party to be in with a chance of winning.  You'll find all the details on the STAMPlorations blog
Commenting closes on July 5th and the winners will be announced on July 7th .......  so come on, join in the fun.  Use the mood board below to inspire you to create a project with a party/bithday theme, post it on your blog, along with the mood board and link to the party ..... simple

I've been playing with the new stamps, and they're so much fun ......

You can't have a party without balloons ..... lots of them!

I simply stamped the large balloon and embossed using Ranger's Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I made a mask for the balloon and continued to stamp the image across my piece of card.
They were coloured using Copic Markers, and I finished them off with a touch of  clear Wink of Stella

The strings are from Dee's Balloons and Banners set

and the words are from a set called Party Time

You can see I've added a touch of colour to the background using my favourite acetate smooshing technique ..... and there's also a little something on the inside

Are you in the party mood now? ....... remember create a project with a birthday/party theme,  post it on your blog, or Flickr, Instagram etc., and link it up to the STAMPlorations page.  Show the mood board in your post, comment on the STAMPlorations Blog and the DT posts  to be in with a chance of winning one of the fab prizes.

Thanks for popping by .... enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheerio until next time ....
