Happy July ........ in the mood for a blog challenge?

Happy Sunday evening to you .......

And welcome to July!  Half way through the year already ..... Christmas is coming!! (Ooops! did I say that out loud!)

I hope you've had a good weekend ....... ours has flown by.

It's time to get this month's Blog Challenges underway though ....... and as always, the first one for me is ........ the Happy Little Stampers CAS (Clean and Simple) Challenge.

What is CAS?
For me, it's lots of white space, one main focal point and minimum embellishments ..... less is definitely more for these type of designs.

July's challenge theme is Birthday ..... possibly the biggest celebration we make cards for, other than Christmas (ooops! there I go again ..... sorry)

Here's a very CAS design, which can be in any colours you like.  Choose the favourites of who you're sending the card to ...... pinks would make it girly ..... blues for a boy.  Try neutral shades or browns for a vintage look .... the choice is yours

I simply stamped the word Happy (from the HLS Bold Birthday sentiments) onto a piece of white cardstock using different colours of Memento ink ..... I used my MISTI to make sure I got the words lined up correctly.

I added in another sentiment underneath, this time using a black ink as a contrast,

And I finished off by adding just a few sequins here and there for a touch of sparkle ....... so quick and easy.

As always there's a fabulous prize for the challenge winner ..... a $20 gift certificate to spend in the HLS Store.   Just remember to follow the challenge rules to be in with a chance to win .....

  • Your entry MUST be CAS
  • Link back to your actual challenge post not just your blog
  • Put a link to HLS in your Blog post
  • You can enter as many times as you like but each entry must be different
  • Have fun!

I'm looking forward to seeing how you take on this months theme.
Happy stamping!

Thanks for popping by ....... enjoy the rest of your day.
It's time for me to relax and catch up on some TV I think.
We've had a busy weekend, we got a few things sorted, did a bit shopping, had a meal out .... usual stuff.
The dining table saga continues though.  The store thinks it's definitely a faulty table so we've agreed to let them order us a new one.  It just means we're going to have to wait even longer ..... sigh!
The BBQ is still sat in it's packaging too, which means hubby hasn't had chance to play with his new toy yet.  Tuesday apparently, the guy's coming with his crane to have a look and hopefully move it. I'll keep you posted.

Cheerio until next time .......
