Friday at last!

Hi everybody,
Happy Friday, and a Happy Jubilee Weekend.  Hope the weather holds out, especially if you've got celebrations planned.
It's all go over here.  We've got the Olympic Torch coming to the Isle of Man tomorrow, and it's also the first day of Race Week at the TT.
I went down into Douglas this morning and the whole of the prom has been taken up with a funfair, sideshows, food stalls and of course the beer tents. There's loud speakers and big screens everywhere.   OOh and lots of motorbikes!!
It'll be a hive of activity down there, from the weekend onwards, with something going on every night.  We may just have to go down and check it out, especially if it's a nice night weatherwise.  It all finishes off with a Fireworks Display in Douglas bay next Friday.
If anyone's interested, they have a live Webcam down at the Grandstand, which is just around the corner from where we live.  Check it out here TT Webcam and see just what's going on down there.

The postman brought me more goodies this morning.  I got my Design Team Basics Kit from Craftwork Cards (fab products),  the July edition of the best craft magazine, in my opinion, Craft Stamper, and some gorgeous new stamps from the lovely Sarah and Vicky at Stamp Addicts, (that's me sorted for next week).  I can't tell you much about the stamps yet, except that they are really pretty and I already have loads of ideas on what to do with them - which is good considering I have samples to make. Watch this space for more details.

Speaking of samples, here's some of the last lot that I did, in full.  I showed you sneak peeks of these cards last Friday.  They were on the C&C show yesterday so I can now post pictures of the whole cards.  Let me know what you think.
Dream House
Townhouses
Solid Motifs
Solid Chandelier

Some of these are lovely big stamps, full of detail.  Just by stamping them in a solid colour, you can change the way they look.  The chandelier looks fabulous just stamped in black ink, or use black embossing powder to give it a nice shine.  Add a bit of glitter and some gems and get a stunning, but easy to make card.  Here I've used some Worn Lipstick Distress ink around the edges, and stamped the background in pink to give a real feminine look - very elegant.  I'll post some more pictures next week.

Thanks to everyone who's left  lovely comments on my posts this week.  I do enjoy reading them all.  And a big Hello to my new followers.  When I started this blog I didn't realise how much fun it was going to be, and just how many people would be interested in reading it.  I'm so glad you're all out there  xx

Have a fantastic Jubilee Weekend and I'll see you all next week.

Bye for now
Linda
