It's Sunday .... so it must be time for Merry Monday

Happy Sunday to you,

I hope you're all having a good weekend.  Yesterday was a bit of a lazy one for me ....... it turned out to be rather a late night on Friday!  Wine tasting 6 -8pm (found some nice new wines .... hic!)  Off into town, to the Bath & Bottle  to meet up with some of hubby's work friends and a quick bite to eat (the salt & pepper chilli squid is delicious ....nom! nom!) and it's the only place on the island that I've found, where they serve one of my favourite tipple's ..... St Germain Elderflower liqueur .... mmmm.  Add a dash to a Gin & Tonic and it's just heaven ..... Hic! (it's also rather nice in a glass of champagne too)  We finished the night in the Casino ....... Bad idea!!  The poker gods were not on our side I'm afraid ..... and it's not good to play cards when you've been drinking, you get a little bit more optimistic shall we say (or rather my hubby does!!)  Oh well!  Can't win everytime I suppose!

Never mind, because we had such a lazy day, I got to spend some time in the old craft room ..... just as well as time is running out to enter this week's Merry Monday Challenge.

We have a Sketch to follow this week .......

I haven't stuck to it exactly, but see what you think ......

It's not a million miles away is it .... the diagonal split in the background is different.
I stamped the winter scene onto a square of white cardstock (the stamp is from Clarity Stamps by the way) and then extended it a little either side, on a seperate piece of card to give me my top and bottom split .....

I added the cute little robin (Clarity again) and coloured him using Distress inks.

A bit of matting and layering using black and red cardstock ..... one of my favourite colour combos for festive cards, and then attached it all to the front of an 8x8 cardblank.

I added my greeting (Clarity stamps) .....

and the banner to the top (not sure where this little stamp came from but I love the font)......

I finished off by adding the metal snowflake charm, and of course a touch of sparkle with some fine crystal glitter.

The cheeky little robin also makes an appearance on the inside .....

Another Christmas card for the festive box .... I've lost count how many are in there now.

No craft room for me today, it's the last day of the football season.
My Chelsea boys can't win the premiership I'm afraid (sigh!) but I think we could still finish second IF Liverpool lose (bit of a long shot!)
Manchester City need just 1 point to secure top slot, while Liverpool need them to lose and they need to win .... confusing.  There's an exciting afternoon in store I think .... if you're a football fan!
We've been invited out for Sunday tea too, so I don't even have to cook.  We're off round to Lauren's later and the chef 's cooking.  I think he's doing fish too so it's going to be delicious ...... looking forward to it!

Thanks for popping by today ..... it's time to put the coffee on.  Enjoy your Sunday.

Cheerio until next time ....
