We had a great 4th of July ...... our first one in the US. There were fireworks going off all along the strip. We watched them in front of Caesar's Palace, along with so many other people ....... I've never seen it so busy on the strip!

Anyway once through all the fabulous shops and restaurants, we ventured outside again, only to find everyone either coming back inside or standing under cover at the entrance trying to avoid the RAIN!!!!!
Yes I did say rain .... it was bucketing it down. Not what you expect in the middle of the desert.
It was still very warm though and it didn't rain for long ...... it was quite refreshing!!!
We finished the evening off with a good old American burger, in a place called Burger and Beer in the Venetian Hotel ...... and what a burger it was too!!!
We're back to 100 degrees again this morning although the sun isn't shining as bright today .... there's a few clouds around.
In fact as I'm doing this blog post we've just had a Weather Warning come on to the TV. Apparently there's a risk of Flash Flooding in Southern Nevada due to thunderstorms ..... not sure if it's heading our way. I think the best plan for today is going to be to join hubby in the Casino ...... wish me luck!
