Morning folks,
Happy Wednesday! I'm sorry about bringing up the 'C' word again but I've got a quick reminder for you this morning about the current blog challenge over at IndigoBlu.
The theme is all about Christmas ..... we'd like to see some festive designs from you. It could be your Christmas card for 2014, a decoration for the tree maybe, or an idea for a Christmas gift.
I've made another card for you, using the brand new Snowflake Lace ..... how gorgeous is this rubber stamp! And it's perfect if you're making batch cards ...... really quick and easy to get fab results.
We all send lots of cards during the festive season, so the quicker they are to make the better.
For this one, I started by masking off the bottom of a square piece of white card (approx 2 inches), using low tack masking tape. Then using Distress inks, I added colour to the top section. I blended three shades of blue ...... Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire.
I then flicked over some clean water, let it sit for a few seconds then mopped up the excess with kitchen roll leaving that splattered look.
Using the new Snowflake Lace, I inked the stamped with Flitter Glu and stamped the image over the top of the inked section, leaving space towards the bottom to add a sentiment.
I then added Sheffield Steel Mega Flakes .....
I removed the masking tape and added a couple of embossed lines underneath the inked section, along with a few small pearls. You could use gems instead, or even glitter to add a touch more sparkle.
The words are from the IndigoBlu Season's Greetings stamp set, stamped onto a piece of white card, cut down to size and inked around the edge.
How quick and easy is that .... and so effective.
Why not pop over to the Challenge Blog and see more fabulous festive designs from the rest of the DT ..... Ho! Ho! Ho!
Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.
Cheerio until next time
