12 Tags of Christmas ....... catch up Day 2

Hello there again!

It's Friday ....... it's 5 o'clock ...... and it's Tag Time!!

I mentioned yesterday about Loll's 12 Tags of Christmas event that started on Monday this week. It's actually Day 5 today but, as usual, I'm a little behind.

Here's my tag for Day 2 ....... inspired by Loll's fabulous frosty looking scene

Tag #2

I used a piece of cardstock from my stash for the background .... left over from a  previous project, and created my own little snowfall.

The blue card has been coloured using the IndigoBlu English Cottage Acrylic Paints in the fabulous new metallic colours ....... soooo pretty!!  

I mixed a little of the Sleeping Beauty (a gorgeous blue) with some of the Snow White just to lighten it a little, and then added some water. I then used this to colour an A4 piece of white card.

I mixed a little more of the Snow White with some water in a spritzer bottle, and sprayed it over the top of the blue.  I then covered the card with a piece of cling film, scrunching it in places and left it to dry.

When the cling film is removed you get this gorgeous icy look, where the mica from the metallic paint has gathered in the creases of the cling film ..... perfect for Christmas designs

I then used the Tim Holtz Speckles stencil with some white texture paste to add some falling snow.

You can see I've covered the paste with fine crystal glitter whilst it was still wet ...... 

I stamped the words on the bottom using Black Archival ink

 and then added some pretty die cut snowflakes to finish off

Well, that's Day 2 done!  Only 3 days behind ......

We're off out for tea tonight ... then hopefully, if it doesn't rain, the fireworks display will go ahead in Douglas Bay.   Dinner and a show ...... hubby knows how to treat a girl!
