Paper Piecing for Less is More

Hello there ...... Me again!

Twice in one day ..... told you I was catching up!

It's challenge time again for Less is More ....... and as October was a five week month, it's a Lucky Dip this week .....
Paper Piecing

This is such a fun technique to use ..... great way of using up paper scraps too!

I simply stamped my images onto a piece of white card (the Thanks is from Uniko stamps and the cute little flower is from a set called Doodle Buds from Wplus9)

I stamped the same images onto some scraps of designer papers and cut out the various pieces

Sometimes you just can't be bothered to colour in your stamped images ..... maybe you haven't got the time to spend blending and shading with your pens and pencils .... or maybe you have a large image to colour.   Paper piecing is a great way to add colour ..... it's quick too.  You do have to enjoy fussy cutting though, especially with the smaller pieces, they can get a little fiddly.

A few inks splats here and there (just for a change!!) using co-ordinating inks, and a bit of faux stitching around the edge and it's done!

Don't forget the inside too .....

OK  ....... That's it for today ..... I need to tidy the old craft room, wash off all the paint and ink that I'm currently covered in and get myself ready for our little trip to the theatre.  Enjoy your evening.

Thanks for popping by (again!)

Cheerio until next time

Loving your paper pieced single stem with the bold sentiment. And the ink splatters and faux stitching add just that perfect little something.
Thanks for sharing with us.
