How's your week going .... better mine I hope. I feel like cr-p!!
Maybe it's the post holiday blues, or the fact that I feel completely battered and bruised ..... I ache everywhere!!
But ..... after feeling really sorry for myself yesterday, it's time to get busy and take my mind off things.
So ...... I'm playing along with this weeks Less is More Challenge. It's a Recipe Week and the theme is
Use a Stencil
I came across this pretty panel in my box of UFO's (UnFinished Objects) and thought it was perfect for this weeks challenge.
The stencil is from STAMPlorations .... one of their ARTploration stencils called Happy Flowers and I've used it to do some stencil mono-printing.
This is such a fun technique to play around with. You simply apply ink onto the stencil (I've used various colours of Distress Inks), spritz with some water, although on this one I've used Rangers Perfect Pearls instead, to give it a little shimmer ....
then you lay down the stencil onto a piece of card, give it a little rub over the top and voila! ...... you have your print .....
A simple sentiment to finish off and we're done .... simple
Maybe I do have the post holiday blues ..... Bourton seems such a long time ago. We had a fabulous week doing absolutely nothing! It was so nice having the whole family together. We ate too much, drank far too much, and basically relaxed and had fun all week.
The sun did shine .....
And the locals were as friendly as ever ....
They'd even left the bunting out for us .......
although it was probably left over from the Queen's birthday bash.
There was lots of ice cream ......
and afternoons by the river .....
We did venture out of Bourton occasionally ...... to the nearby Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens ..... they have rhinos on the manor house lawn!
And you can get up close and personal with the giraffes ..... so cute!!
Someone enjoyed themselves that day ....
Then towards the end of the week we spent an afternoon on a steam train .....
before being joined by a friend of ours ....... who the little man showed that the only thing to do on a warm afternoon in Bourton is to get in the river ..... and chill!
Thanks for popping by .... enjoy the rest of your day.
That's me done I think .... time to curl up on the sofa with the soaps. I'm not very good at feeling under the weather.
See you in July!
Cheerio until next time .....

Your holiday looks amazing! I did giggle about the bunting being left out for you - it should have been! Lovely card and what a creative technique to use. The result is very eye catching and fabulously 'arty' in such gorgeous colours. Thanks for a great Less is More entry :)
So sorry you are feeling yucky Linda, but your fun holiday was worth it. TFS your photos and your Happy Flowers stenciled monoprint LIM card. Take care...Hugs, Nancy
What a pretty card and loving that technique and the colours you've used. Fabulous photos and you all looked like you had a whole lot of fun...miserable weather on your return doesn't help, does it?
Enjoyed the photos of your vacation Linda. Looks like everyone had a wonderful time and the sunshine was plentiful. :) Hopefully looking at the pictures as you uploaded to share with us, it made you feel a little better. Sounds like you need bed rest and someone looking after you. Take care and get better!!
