Kiss me quick! ...........

Happy weekend to you .....

I hope yours is going OK.  I'm still not feeling 100% but hey .... the show must go on!

It's time to get this months Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge up and running.  Thanks to everyone that joined in with the challenge last month ...... it's been so much fun looking through all of your entries, it's going to be tough choosing a winner!!

This month the theme is all about KISSING ..... mwah!!!

No ... not that sort of kissing ..... I'm talking about the craft technique.  Usually done with 2 rubber stamps ..... one solid image and one patterned.  Ink up the solid image then 'kiss' the stamp with the patterned one (inked or not) before stamping your image onto card.
If you check out the Happy Little Stampers blog you'll find links to some fab videos showing this technique along with how to do the same thing using embossing folders, and even die cuts.

The challenge as always, is sponsored by the Happy Little Stampers store ......

And the winner will receive a $15 discount voucher to spend in the store

So ..... here's a little inspiration for you to get you started .....

I've used my favourite Penny Black stamp ..... blush. This is always out on my desk and comes in for so many occasions.  I inked it up using colours of Memento ink, then before stamping the image onto my cardstock, I took one of the Tim Holtz Reflections stamps, inked it with Rich Cocoa Memento ink and then 'kissed' the two stamps together ........

These Reflections stamps are perfect for this technique because they're actually backwards.  If you just stamp them normally, the text would be the wrong way round .... doing the kissing technique makes the text readable .... clever eh!

I finished off the flowers with a few dots of Liquid Pearls and then added the pretty little butterflies from the HLS Thinking of You stamp set .....

The sentiment is from the HLS Doodles Flowers .....

And of course there's a little something on the inside ....

See what I mean about the text .....

OK ..... you'll find more fabulous inspiration from the rest of the DT on the Happy Little Stampers blog.  Pop over and take a look and then have fun creating.

Happy Stamping!

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheerio until next time

Now that is clever with the text the right way around. I've seen the kissing technique done before with a text stamp and the text is the wrong way around so thank you for explaining that. Such a lovely card, loving the colours and that ever so pretty flower stamp x

This is gorgeous, Linda. I think that PB stamp may have to go onto my wishlist. Great addition of the liquid pearls too x
