Introducing the first of the new release from Uniko Studio ......

Happy Saturday folks .......

Lets get the weekend started with a look at a couple of the brand new designs coming soon from Uniko Studio

Today we're introducing Simply Said Blocks II  ...... a great little stamp set full of more really useful sentiments, in the same popular style as the Simply Said Blocks

And ........ it's the 'official' release of the gorgeous new stencil/mask ....... Nature's Treasures II  that co-ordinates beautifully with the Natures Treasures II clear stamp set.

Some of you may already have this, as it was part of the Uniko Stamping Retreat goody bag back in December 2017.  It's proved to be such a favourite with those that attended the retreat, and some of the Design Team that Bev thought it was time to make it available to everyone ..... I'm so glad she did!

I've used the stencil here, and one of the stamps from the set to create this simply design .... leaves don't always have to be green!

How pretty do they look .... and it's great to have the two sizes. And ..... you also get the inside bits with the stencil so you have masks of the leaves too ..... so many possibilities!

I used a piece of acetate to smoosh some colour onto a piece of card to create my background.  The colours I used were actually Salty Ocean and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides, but they mixed together and I got this pretty lilac shade when I laid the ink down.

A quick dry with a heat tool, then I took the stencil and Dusty Concord Distress Ink and added the leaves over the top ......

The sentiment was simply stamped with Black Versafine onto a snippet of white card and then fussy cut, before attaching it over the leaves using foam pads

You can see I added come coloured thread to the back of the sentiment for a little more interest and I finished off by adding a few ink splatters here and there, and some glitter glue dots for a touch of sparkle

I also outlined the leaves using a Stardust Gel pen, which gives them a lovely shimmer when it catches the light.

Check out the Uniko Blog today for more inspiration and great ideas from the Design Team, and our lovely Guest Designer, on how to get the most from this brand new stamp set and the gorgeous stencil.
And don't forget to check back tomorrow for a closer look at more from the new release.

Thanks for popping by .... have a lovely weekend.  Let's hope the sun shines!
I'm off to get ready for a workshop now.  The ladies will be arriving soon and I need to set up!
We're going to be playing with a faux bleaching technique ....... rubber stamping, heat embossing, Distress Inks and Oxides, and plain old water.  Should be fun!

Cheerio until next time ......
