Is it really only Thursday ...... it's been a lonnnnng week!! But, we're almost there ..... the weekend that is!!
I think our weekend officially starts this evening ...... hubby's got the day off tomorrow, and it's Chris's birthday today. No doubt there will be much celebrating going on later ..... I do know he's off out this evening. I think I'll sit this one out and leave it to the boys ...... we can do our family celebrations tomorrow evening.
I have made him a birthday card though ........
Cute or what!
I made it with this month's Twofer Card Challenge in mind ........ another one that I'm sneaking in just before the deadline.
Two different designs for
two different occasions,
using the same stamp, die or stencil
This little guy has simply been stamped onto a piece of white card using a Black Versafine ink ..... just look at that face!
Not sure if you can see it but, I've just added a tiny bit of blue ink to his eyes .....
The sentiment is from a Penny Black set and I've stamped it in two halves ..... using stencil tape to cover the bits that I didn't need. The first half on the front ......
and the second on the inside .....
I added a few splatters of gold and black ink to finish off.
Now for the Twofer ......
Using the same stamp .... which by the way is from Katzelkraft, if you were wondering ..... I decided on a Valentine's design. Well, it'll be here before we know it!
This time, the cute little ostrich has been stamped repeatedly around the edges of a piece of white card
I stamped in the gaps using a sentiment from Tim Holtz's Crazy Talk and some sweet little hearts from MFT's Valentine Wishes
The hearts have been given a brush of sparkle ....
And I added a nice glittery one, along with my stamped greeting
OK, OK ..... I confess ...... the glittery heart was to hide a smudge that somehow appeared when I'd nearly finished the card ..... ooops! You would never know would you!
So, that's it ...... my Twofer.
Birthday and Valentines
Thanks for popping by .... enjoy your day.
It's time to tidy the craft room today ..... it could take a while. Think I'll have a coffee first!
Cheerio until next time .....

I've always love this guy, great twofer :)
An ostrich is definitely a bird and he makes both a super fun birthday card and Valentine! I love the birthday sentiment so much. How perfect! Two very fun cards for our Twofer Birds Challenge. You made it in time and I'm so glad you played along!
It is an adorable image and the ostrich looks amazing on both cards. I really love that sentiment too. Definitely two fabulous cards. Hugs, Anne xx
That ostrich gets me every time! I can't quite make out what he's thinking, but it's something! I think Chris will be intrigued by him, too, and I love the sediment and how you split it. So true! Your Valentine is just crazy fun and it NEEDED that glittery heart, didn't it?! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #12! Have fun celebrating this weekend! Hugs, Darnell
That ostrich is one riot of a bird, Linda ... what a hilarious twofer! He's crisp and CAS on your birthday card, peeking up from the corner amid all the celebratory confetti-like splatters ... and I love how you have him popping in from all sides (even upside down!) to make a frame for your shimmery Saint Valentine's Day card! So much fun! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
What fun cards, Linda! I have a similar ostrich stamp and I feel a CASE coming on! BTW, I LOVE that sparkly heart! A happy accident!
This ostrich is so funny and cute that I have to smile. :-) You've created super nice cards. I like the design on both of them. The sentiment on birthday card is wonderful. Have fun celebrating! :-)
I love that face! Two fantastic designs that really grab attention to themselves with that wacky bird. Your birthday sentiment is wonderful, and I love the black/gold. Equally adorable with a scattering of hearts in red/white! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
Two fabulous cards Linda, that ostrich is so cute and I love how he's popping up all over in the Valentine's card.
Have a great weekend.
Avril xx
