It's going to be a busy week

Morning All,
Hope you're enjoying your Bank Holiday.  It's business as usual over here today, we had our Bank Holiday Monday last week as normal, and our Jubilee day is not until July.  That doesn't mean that we won't be joining in with all the celebrations though.
We do however get a day off on Friday this week - TT Senior Race Day. It's the last day of the TT and it's always a Bank Holiday.  Let's hope the weather holds out and it's a nice day.  Last year the final race had to be postponed quite a few times during the afternoon because of the weather.  It did run eventually though.  It was my first time at the TT and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  The speeds that those riders get up to is frightening!

The Olympic Torch was here on Saturday as the island played it's part in the Relay.  It arrived at Ronaldsway Airport in the morning and then went on a journey around the island.  Over the course of the day the torch travelled on a motorcycle (well it is TT fortnight), a horse drawn tram along the promenade in Douglas, a bicycle, then on a train on the Manx electric railway up to Laxey, and even a lifeboat where it went out to sea.  The torch then flew across to Belfast where it will continue on its way.
The torch sets off on the motorbike

I have a busy week ahead of me craft wise.  I need to get started on some new samples for Stamp Addicts, I'll let you have a peek when they're done, don't tell anyone though!  There's a two or three blog challenges I'd like to join in with if I can fit them in, Tim's new Tag is out there, need to make a start on that and I have birthday cards to make, one of them for a guy (Oh no - could take a while!!!)

Before I get started on that lot though, I thought I'd share with you a couple more of the last lot of samples I sent off to Sarah and Vicky (Stamp Addicts).

These stamps were so much fun to use, and all of them work so well together.  The top one was the Townhouse stamp and the background was made using stamps from the Dreamhouse set, along with the sentiments.
You can see on the chandelier card that the stamps also work well with shrink plastic because the images are such a good size.  They don't loose any of the detail when they shrink down, so you can make your own matching embellishments.  Shrink plastic is sooo much fun.  I hadn't used it in a while and I'd forgotten just how much fun it is.
This final card is just quick and easy.  The stamp is so beautifully detailed that you really don't need to do a lot with it to get stunning results.  This was just stamped in black ink, I chose Versafine because of all the detail,  then mat and layered onto some cardstock.  I added a little bit of faux stitching, some pretty paper roses and a bit of ribbon, and the little picket fence was done with a Martha Stewart border punch - cute.

I'll apologise for the photographs being a little bit all over the place, but I'm struggling to find the right spot to take them.  Since moving I don't have my conservatory any more, that's where I used to take all my pictures in the mornings.  No where, in the new place, seems to be right at the moment.  I'm thinking of putting together my own photo booth, we'll have to see.
Well, I'd best be off.  Things to do and it's nearly lunchtime.  Have a fabulous day whatever you're up to and hopefully I'll be back later in the week, if my mojo's working!!
Bye for now
Linda
