I'm dreaming of a white Christmas ......

Well ...... I'm glad that's over!!  The least said about Friday the 13th the better!!!

Happy weekend!  It looks like we're in for a wet one.

It's been a funny old week ..... started off quietly but definitely went out with a bang!  We had the little man off school yesterday not well ....... the joys of when children get together eh! When Lauren rang the school to tell them he was sick, they said not to worry there was another 15 of them off ....... it doesn't take much for a tummy bug to spread.  Thank goodness it was only a 24 hour thing ..... he seems fine this morning ..... back to his usual lively self!

Remember a couple of months ago I mentioned that Chris (our son) had been put in charge of his own public house ...... well, Thursday last week it was all made official.  He was in court to finally get his licence.  As you can imagine he was a little pleased with himself ....... and so he should be!!

But enough waffling ..... let's keep up with the festive spirit shall we .... here's my tag for Day 9 of Loll's 12 Tags of Christmas event
I'm still a day behind but there's lots of time to catch up .... the event doesn't close until the 22nd.

I've used Kraft card for this tag ..... coloured it using Distress Inks (Festive Berries, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany) then gave it a spritz of Perfect Pearls to add some shimmer.

I stamped some snowflakes around the edges using the white Memento Luxe ink .....

and added my sentiment ...... stamped and heat embossed in white, with a touch of glitter to highlight the word RED

The layered snowflake was die cut from white card and then each layer was covered with a fine texture paste and then sprinkled with the Distress Stickles Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter

Not sure the texture comes across well in the picture but it is there ....... trust me!

I'm also linking this up to the Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge where the theme is TAGS

and also their Christmas Challenge were they're also asking for TAGS.

Thanks for popping by ...... enjoy the rest of your day, and I hope you have a dryer weekend than we're having!

Cheerio until next time

Linda

Congrats to you son Chris ... and glad to hear the little man is back to feeling better so soon! :)

On to the tag ... LOVE the mix of colours for the sponged background. The perfect pearls really give it so much shimmer and shine. Your stacked and sparkly snowflake is gorgeous! And I laughed when I red the sentiment. So fun ... so you! Thanks so much for sharing at my tag event!! xx

A particularly beautiful tag! I love this gentle splash, gives the impression that poured small snowballs. Thanks for the beautiful inspiration and for sharing with HLS. We look forward to you the next challenge.
