Day 2 ...... Introducing Uniko's Large Background Tropical Paradise

Happy Tuesday ......

Welcome to Day 2 of Introductions for the brand new release coming soon from Uniko.
We introduced two great stamp sets yesterday, and we have another beauty for you today.
Tropical Paradise ..... the latest addition to the Large Backgrounds.

I do love background stamps and this one is stunning. All that gorgeous foliage, with so many possibilities.

It does exactly what it says on the packaging ....... it's a great background.   And look ..... it's the perfect partner for the Uniko Paradise clear stamp set

I stamped the background onto a piece of green cardstock and heat embossed in gold.

Added a touch more colour to the leaves using various green shades from my ZIG markers.

I die cut a frame to fit the panel and then attached it to the front of a white cardblank.

I stamped the toucan from the Paradise set (isn't he fabulous!), fussy cut around him and added colour with  ZIG markers, before sitting him on top of the sentiment.

This gorgeous new stamp works just as well on it's own .......

I've stamped it using a green ink this time, onto white card, and coloured the leaves as before using my ZIG Markers

Using nesting rectangle dies I cut the background into three layers decreasing in size.
I layered each one onto a piece of green cardstock leaving a tiny border around the edge each time, and then attached each layer back in place, using foam pads for dimension

A simple sentiment on the bottom finishes off the card.

Don't forget to check out the Uniko Studio Blog to see what the rest of the DT have been creating.  We also have a Guest Designer with us for this release ........ the lovely Keren Barker is joining in the fun, so please pop by and say Hello there too.

Thanks for popping by ....... enjoy the rest of your day.
I'll be back here again tomorrow with more from the Uniko new release .  It's stencils tomorrow, and the perfect re-released stamp set to go with them.
See you then.

It's back to the craft room today though, only this time I'm getting all festive, hopefully!!  Better get the glitter out!

Cheerio until next time .......

2 fantastic showcases with the new background Linda. So opulent with the gold touches in the first one and a clever way to add interest in your second with the layering. Inspired! x

Yes, a pretty stamp that, with your techniques, elevates it to stunning! A duo of sensational showcases! Love the gold accents in the first; the layering in the second!

Two great cards with the stamp, I love the toucan. Love the layering on the 2nd with the paler green, a good idea.

Your gold-edged (or gilt-edged?) leaves are just beautiful and will be a perfect home for your toucan!
Great idea with the dimensional layering in the second card!

Hugs and greetings from Wiebke
