Uniko New Release ...... Day 4 Introducing BIG & BOLD Wish Designer Dies

Happy weekend .......

Welcome to the final day of Introductions for the brand new Uniko release.
There's not long to wait now, the release day is tomorrow ...... Sunday 5th May, and all the new products will be available from 9pm (BST) on the Uniko website.

So far we've seen gorgeous new stamps, a great new stencil, and a pretty set of butterfly dies.
Last but definitely not least ..... something else that you might just want to add to your shopping list .... another fab set of dies, that match a very popular, previously released, stamp set ......  BIG & BOLD Wish

It's a great little die set ..... not only do you get the word 'wish' you get a die to cut the shadow and, dies to cut the candle and the flame too!

I've used the stamps to create the background ..... coloring the candles using ZIG Markers

I then used the new dies to cut the word 'wish' one from the stamped piece of card,  and twice from plain white cardstock.
I inlaid one of the white words back into the stamped piece of card, added the second one on the top and then layered the one cut from the stamped card, matching up the design again.

I stamped the rest of the sentiment using more of the stamps from the set, and attached it above the die cut.
A layer of Crystal Glaze on the die cut word, and a few sparkly sequins add the finishing touches.

I should have waited a little longer before applying the Crystal Glaze ...... the ink has run a little and mixed with the glaze.  Won't make that mistake again!!!

It's been fun introducing this new release ...... but the fun's not over yet!
Join me again tomorrow for more ideas and inspiration and join in the fun with the DT Blog Hop ..... there might just be a massive Giveaway too!

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day, and have a great weekend.
I'm off to get ready for a workshop now ..... think I need a coffee first though.

Cheerio until next time .....

Uniko New Release .......... Day 3 Introducing Mid Century Modern Stencil

Good morning!

It's Friday ..... whoo hoo!!!  The weekend is here, and we've got a Bank Holiday on Monday so it's a nice long one.  Fingers crossed the weather stays nice.

Welcome to Day 3 of Introductions for the new Uniko release coming up on Sunday.  All the fab new designs will be available to purchase from the Uniko website at 9pm (BST)  How's your shopping list coming along?

Over the last couple of days we've seen the new stamps,  and one of the new die sets.  Today we have a new stencil design ...... meet Mid Century Modern

A real cool design which I think is going to be perfect for masculine cards, and kids designs.
It's the same design as one of the new Background Blocks stamps ...... but bigger! And as with all the Uniko stencils it fits a square 6x6 inch card perfectly.

I simply used my Distress Oxides through the design ...... looks great in the multi-colours

I added a few splatters using the same Oxide colours and added a dot of glitter glue here and there .....

The great thing about the Uniko range is that when new products arrivv they always work so well with all the previous releases.
Here I've paired the new stencil with stamps and matching dies from the Explosion range

Stamped using the Oxide colours and then die cut.  Attached with foam pads to add a bit of dimension, and a piece of folded acetate so that the WOW! moves

An added sentiment gives the finishing touch

Well there's still one more day of Introductions to go before we have the release day.
Don't forget to check out the Uniko Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have been creating, and also pop by and say Hello to our lovely Guest Designer for this release ..... Jenny from Crafting in the Country.

Thanks for popping by ...... have a lovely day and enjoy your weekend.
It's International Sauvignon Blanc Day today and to celebrate we're off out this evening.  We're off to our favourite little place in town, Wine Down, for another of their fabulous tasting menus. Five delicious courses all paired with fine Sauvignon Blanc wines ....... cheers everyone!
I can't be too late home though .... I have a workshop tomorrow!

Cheerio until next time .....

Uniko New Release ....... Day 2 Introducing English Country Garden Butterflies - Designer Dies & Larg Background - Sketched Foliage

Happy Thursday .......

Welcome to Day 2 of Introductions for the brand new release, coming soon from Uniko.
All the new release will be available to purchase from 9pm (BST) on Sunday 5th May.

Today we're introducing a fabulous set of dies which match the pretty English Country Garden - Butterflies stamp set.
There's two dies in the set, to fit both sizes of butterfly.  I've used the small one here .....

I simply stamped the butterfly three times, coloured them with ZIG Markers and then used the die to cut them out ..... easy!

I attached them onto my card front using foam pads .....

and gave each one a little Wink of Stella sparkle before stamping my sentiment underneath

The last of the new stamps is a large Background stamp called Sketched Foliage .....

This is such a pretty design, and one of those that you will reach for time and time again.
I've used it here with the emboss resist technique using Distress Oxides, along with a little faux bleaching.

I stamped the image onto a piece of white card and heat embossed it in white.  I then took my Distress Oxide inks and applied them over the top creating an ombre look.

Once I was happy with the colour I took a paper towel and polished over the heat embossing removing any excess ink.  The embossing powder acts as a resist to the Oxides so the colour wipes away leaving the white to show through again

I then used a paintbrush, and clean water to remove some of the colour from the sketched image giving a bleached look

Using the small butterfly die again I cut six from plain white cardstock and also three into the stamped panel.
I then inlaid three of the white butterflies back into the stamped panel, layered another white one on top of each of them and finished with the ones cut from the stamped panel ...... does that make sense?

A few dots of crystal glaze, and a sentiment on the bottom, adds the finishing touches to my hidden/camoflaged butterflies

Well that's Day 2 done ..... there's still more to come tomorrow.
Don't forget to pop over to the Uniko Blog to see more inspiration using the new release, from the rest of the Design Team and our fabulous Guest Designer Jenny.

Thanks for popping .... enjoy the rest of your day.

Uniko New Release ..... Day 1 Introducing Modern Florals & Mid Century Modern Background Blocks I and II

Happy Wednesday ......

Welcome to May!
Always a busy month ....... we've got the Isle of Man TT Races in a little over three weeks (it doesn't seem 5 minutes since the last one!) Preparations are already underway across the island.
It's the Happy Stampers Spring Festival at Port Sunlight a week on Saturday (my ticket has arrived, the ferry is booked and my shopping list is ready ..... almost!) It's a long day but it's always a lot of fun.
The weekend after that Hubby and I have booked a few days away.  We're taking the car across and heading up to Scotland I think.
Before all that though ........ there's a brand new release coming up from the fabulous Uniko!!!!!

Bev has been busy working her magic to create some fabulous new stamp designs, a new stencil and two new die sets, that work along side previously released stamp sets.  Get ready ...... this is going to be a good one!

Did you see the sneak peeks yesterday?  Are you looking forward to seeing all the new products being used?  Well, wait no longer ..... welcome to Day One of the New Release Introductions.

Today there's three of the new stamps  .....
Modern Florals ..... a fabulous set of 20 individual clear stamps, to make your own funky flowers, create backgronds, and more.

I've used just one of the stamps from the set on this design ...... really quick and easy to do, looks a little bit Orla Kiely don't you think.

I've used Distress Oxide inks to stamp the image ......

Added a simple sentiment on the top ..... from Uniko's Simply Said Blocks II

and finished off with a few sparkly sequins.

Just think of all the colour combinations you could use.

There's also two new additions to the popular Background Blocks series ....... Mid Century Modern and MCM II .......

This one is Mid Century Modern .... and I've stamped it twice onto a 7x5 cardblank, just in black ink.
It's a fab little design and so easy to repeat stamp

I stamped it two or three times again, this time using Distress Oxide inks (same colours as I used in the previous card)
I then used different sized circle dies to cut out different sections of the design

These were then layered on top of the black image, so that they matched the design underneath, and I used foam pads on some, to add a little dimension

I used gold acrylic paint to highlight the tiny dots, and finished off with a sentiment stamped on the bottom.

As always the Design Team have been busy creating with the new products.  Pop over to the Uniko Blog for links to more fabulous inspiration using these new stamps.  You'll also find details on there of our lovely Guest Designer for this release ...... Jenny from Crafting in the Country is joining in fun too.

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.
I'll be back tomorrow with more from the new release from Uniko.

Cheerio until then .........
